Teaching Lab is seeking Louisiana-based ELA teachers (grades 6-12), who have successfully completed Content Leader training and the assessment series to receive the distinction of Content Leader (ancillary certification from the Louisiana Department of Education), to serve as a virtual support coach for teachers seeking Content Leader distinction during school year 20-21. During monthly coaching sessions, Content Leader Distinction Coaches will facilitate professional learning to cohorts of talented educators to build the knowledge and skills to coach and support other teachers through the Content Leader Assessment Portfolio process.

In this role, Content Leader Distinction Coaches will use their skills as a Content Leader to:

• Mentor and support ELA teachers in passing the Content Leader assessments, making connections between Content Leader professional learning and assessments tasks.
• Provide ELA teachers with rubric-aligned feedback on assessment portfolio assignments.
• Lead small cohorts of ELA teachers through peer feedback protocols and assessment portfolio revisions.
• Provide ELA teachers with the coaching support, research-based advice, and tutorials to hone the skills necessary to engage in Content Leader professional learning and be distinguished as a Content Leader by the state of Louisiana.
